A standard consultation is 50 minutes and the fee per session is $180 or $160 for students. 

You do not require a referral to see a psychologist. However, if you would like to access a Medicare rebate, your GP must provide you with a Mental Health Care Plan referral. You are then entitled to up to 20 rebateable sessions in a calendar year. With a valid referral, a Medicare rebate of $88.25 will be claimed and deposited into your bank account after your appointment

For workers’ compensation clients, referral information must be made available at the time of making your appointment.  

If you have private health insurance, you might be able to claim a rebate from your fund. We know that being able to claim your health insurance rebates on the spot is a huge time saver, so we use the hicaps system that allows you to do exactly that. Simply remember to bring your card with you.
